Well, I'm 3rd now, so it seems like I'll be safe. I primarily do magic stuff but my plan for tonight was to guard.

To make it clear, I'll also throw my heal on you 3clipse. If everyone leaves off you tonight you should be back on full tomorrow.

Your first phalla disc? The stuff about kime is mostly in-jokes.
He started out always telling everyone he is mafia, people looked confused and vigged or voted him immediately. After a few phalla people started getting that was his posting style. Also, day 1 voting kime out was a tradition for a while. It got over the top, so we do not do it anymore. Much.

Yeah, this is my first phalla. Hence why I keep trying to call it Phallia.
Basically, I liked playing mafia IRL and then saw the ad someone placed about Phalla in the SUSD video comments for last week, so I thought I'd jump into this one.
So far, all I've found is it's really hard to read people through the internet and impossible to distinguish between voting based on dodgy behaviour and voting based on deviant-from-the-player's-normal behaviour.
Not to mention, not knowing what specials exist makes the game even harder. From the fluff, specifically the "didn't eat the kill" segments I'm assuming that there's a psychopath running loose killing people off instantly. How do you work around that? Short of hitting someone randomly and seeing the kills stop due to the psycho healing or defending that turn, there's no need for the psycho to deviate from their villager behaviour. Really all you can do is be active in the vote and kill people for the psycho, which then makes you a target for either of the (other, could be mafia special I guess?) two groups depending on who you're killing.
And are there seers that I should be watching out for, and how will they signal trustworthiness. And is there an actual Queen and Strategist for villagers and mafia respectively or are these characters just fluff.
As well as the leveling and stat strategy to stop me dying from random kill-squads. ... This is a tough game.

Serial killers, need to in the end kill people. Usually as the number of players gets less, the village network will get more info on who do what and the sk needs to kill someone which means his action will be spent on that. So for an example, the village network tells him to heal this person. Either he does, and there will be no SK kill that day or he does not, and that person will report to the network that he didn't get the heal. The noose will slowly tighten around the SKs neck. Also, the SK might want the village and mafia to stick around for as long as possible to make his work easier, this will show in voting records.
The roles I suspect villagers can have is seer, guard and vigilante. If a seer seers you they will probably get some specific information they can feed you back so you know they are who they claim to be. The queen and strategists are fluff I reckon, might be wrong though.

Ugh. JPants complaining about my vote again. First, due to timezones, I'm not going to be awake until a couple of hours before votes close, so I'm going to be coming in late onto trains all the time. Second, SeGaTai almost overtook JPants from behind 3clipse's vote. I didn't think giving whoever was second at the time of my vote (Rawking Good Guy I think?) an extra vote would be enough of a buffer for 3clipse. SeGa's sudden resurgence has proven this valid. If that had happened to 3clipse he probably would be out today. Third, I didn't really have any strong feelings one way or the other for either Rawk or JPants, but it's pretty clear to me that 3clipse is clean, and is broadcasting clean and that's good enough for me to defend him. Eliminating someone who I don't know anything about is far better than eliminating a known good player, even if the reasons for the train on the former are thin.
I could switch to SeGa now, but I'd prefer to see what happens there. Hopefully being called a special draws mafia out to attack him, and then we can vote out another. Also, I'm posting this here instead of the main thread (and also not changing my vote or cancelling it) because that would just be adding fuel to the fire. No point getting voted out or mafia'd just so I can defend myself.
Right. I feel better now. On with the game.
